So the new Apple iPad is a big iPod Touch with 9.7 inch screen, what’s most interesting is the you can get Apple iWork on it. For presentations Keynote has the functionality of PowerPoint and looks MUCH better and at $9.99 is a steal. And you’ve got Numbers the Excel replacement for another $9.99 and Pages the Word replacement for $9.99.

I immediately though of my 10 year old nephew, then my parents. And I'd kind of like one as well!!
My MacBook's been in for repair and while I'm without it I've felt “chained” to the iMac on the desk. Before I had my iPhone, my MacBook was always at every meeting I had (even if often it stayed in my backpack). I've had meetings where I'm looking at something on my iPhone and the person I'm meeting with is looking at the same thing on their iPhone. Obviously a larger device would make a more “shared” experience. The iPad opens a lot of interesting potential areas for taking video, presentations or content of some kind into a meeting/shared interaction. And it's more the question “How can I use the iPad to do something shared or co-creatively with someone?” that's holding my attention at the moment.
Michael..
I agree. I like the potential this has for sharing information..not sure if I'm ready to trade in my macbook yet, though
